Judgment turns to righteousness !!

This is an awesome sermon by Carter Conlon (Sept. 11th ) :

"When Judgment Returns to Righteousness" >>>http://www.timessquarechurch.org/sermons/

Please take time to listen, these are some points he makes:
The church is called to carry the mercy of God upon this earth. God has given us a great grace which should fill & renew our minds, so that we can be his eyes, his hands, his heart to a darkened generation upon this earth. There is an ongoing justice with the church, as well as a coming day of judgment for the World, a definitive appointed time when all will be judged . Justice is ongoing for the church, i.e. every time the Word of God goes forth in power, we are either in agreement with it, or in denial cloaked of course with "good" religious excuses - therefore, the more we deny the Word of God, the more we justify our error, the more we become filled with things that are entrenched within us that absolutely offend God.

(hardened to the conviction but totally justified through false theologies in their mind, )

Only God, thru Christ himself, can take these offenses out of our hearts, circumcize & our hearts & minds.
Judgment begins at the house of God (as Peter said) judgment already begun for the church of God, through His Word, which is not to condemn us, but to return us to righteousness. True Christians will embrace the judgment of God in our lives...Paul says in Corinthians that we are to judge ourselves, if we do we will not be condemned with the rest of the world. John 3 :17 the heart of a true Christian welcomes an ongoing judgment by bringing his dealings to the Lord, speaking openly of what is in his heart in his relationship with the Lord, knowing he is not condemned of course, but set free when he deals in such an open & honest way with the Lord, he lets everything be exposed to the light of scripture. Not looking to be condemned but to be like Christlike more & more. When he goes to prayer, he brings all conflict & unknowns to the light, and when the light of Christ exposes the facts of the conflict, the Holy Spirit will indeed use scripture. If conflict continues, contention can be due to pride in one's heart.
Proverbs 5 is the sad end of a person who does not allow reproof & instruction in their heart.
Our heart can sadly get to the place where we will not turn our hearts & nor open our ears to those who are sent to bring Truth to us. We begin to feel we are above all others & justify our lack of humility. Many will not realize this sad state until the last day before the judgment seat of Christ , how sad is this. Then Carter goes through many scriptural examples of Christ bringing judgment, which was many times to the effect that they would no longer see him. Matt. 23 Jesus was so unwelcomed by the religious leaders, he was challenged by them! The same way a prideful arrogant Christian will get so annoyed & agitated when someone empowered by the H.S. will come to speak to them.
Matt. 21 - the temple had become a place of thieves, blind were not seeing, lame were not being healed, etc. etc.
Matt. 28 - Jesus proclaimed judgment & that the temple would be left desolate. They would no longer "see" him any longer until within their heart they would repent & be judged by the Word of God . Just think of those that day who carried on their ministry, the sacrifices that continued, etc. they did not know nor accept that the judgment that was proclaimed was just, they continued to close & harden their hearts to the Truth, so Jesus left them. For He knew the true state of their heart and that they would no longer see Jesus,Jesus turned himself away from them. Jesus blessings comes upon one & all when we repent & He turns people away from their sins.

Capture my Heart, O Lord, --->>

Hi everyone - Have a Wonderful day full of His Spirit ! May His Love have it's perfect & entire work in our hearts, & consume us throughout the day , Hold our hearts close to yours today Lord !

OSWALD CHAMBERS "MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST"
September 22
The Missionary's Master and Teacher

You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am . . . . I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master . . . John 13:13, 16

To have a master and teacher is not the same thing as being mastered and taught. Having a master and teacher means that there is someone who knows me better than I know myself, who is closer than a friend, and who understands the remotest depths of my heart and is able to satisfy them fully. (because it is about our hearts, that is what the Lord is after, not obedience that has not first originated within our hearts )

It means having someone who has made me secure in the knowledge that he has met and solved all the doubts, uncertainties, and problems in my mind. To have a master and teacher is this and nothing less -- ". . . for One is your Teacher, the Christ . . ." ( Matthew 23:8 ).
(may this knowledge fill our hearts completely)

Our Lord never takes measures to make me do what He wants.
(Unlike what we are inclined to think but our minds need to be renewed and established in the depth of His great love for us - herein likes the great mystery of God to be unravelled and settled within our hearts so that we may abide in His love and rest in Him)
Sometimes I wish God would master and control me to make me do what He wants, but He will not.
(Yes definitely, me too, but I am so thankful that in His Wisdom He is instead after my heart, to become fully surrendered & nothing less. So the real struggle it seems is in the heart isn't it? As David knew - that God was after the heart, pursuing him relentlessly out of a great Love for him! Psalm 27:8 "When thou saidst, Seek ye my face, my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek" David's heart was grasping & relating to the Lord as Master, he understood the heart to heart communion between him and his Master)
And at other times I wish He would leave me alone, and He does not.
(Blessed be His Name & the wonder of His love for us)

"You call Me Teacher and Lord . . ." -- but is He? Teacher, Master, and Lord have little place in our vocabulary. We prefer the words Savior, Sanctifier, and Healer. The only word that truly describes the experience of being mastered is love, and we know little about love as God reveals it in His Word. The way we use the word obey is proof of this. In the Bible, obedience is based on a relationship between equals; for example, that of a son with his father. Our Lord was not simply God's servant -- He was His Son. ". . . though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience. . ." ( Hebrews 5:8 ). If we are consciously aware that we are being mastered, that idea itself is proof that we have no master. If that is our attitude toward Jesus, we are far away from having the relationship He wants with us. He wants us in a relationship where He is so easily our Master and Teacher that we have no conscious awareness of it -- a relationship where all we know is that we are His to obey.
(sounds like a completeness that the Son & Father had - this is what He is after with us also, not our will, by His be done. )

The Kingdom of God is Within You !!!

Hello again ! As I was cleaning out my old email, I came across these insightful words, which I had read on Andrew's Storm's Website a while ago, but they are just as powerful now as they were back then! They are not my words but instead the words of a post by a fellow journeyman, which I would like to share with you, May you be Blessed in the Son Jesus : Look what he wrote ! What do you think ?

SHOULD I ONLY TAKE THE SWEET FROM THE HAND OF GOD AND NOT THE BITTER?

THE MESSAGE WE CARRY IN AND THRU OUR LIVES IS A MESSAGE OF OVER COMING.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU
RIGHTOUSNESS - PEACE - AND JOY

THIS IS FORGED INTO OUR BEING AS WE LET THE SUFFERING, TRIALS
OF LIFE DO THEIR PERFECT WORK

IT IS BY TRIBULATION THAT PATIENCE DOES ITS WORK TO PRODUCE FRUIT.

BUT LET IT DO ITS PERFECT WORK , THERE IS A DEPTH IN GOD WHO ALONE KNOWS THIS PROCESS FOR EACH OF US

IN THAT DAY WHEN THE LORD REVEALS US AS JEWELS WE WILL SEE THE MYSTERY OF SUFFERING IN ALL ITS WONDER.

JESUS FOR THE JOY SET BEFORE HIM, ENDURED THE GREATEST OF SUFFERING THE WORLD WILL EVER KNOW, YET HE ALlOWS US TO BE PARTAKERS OF THIS SUFFERING.

EACH ONE OF US ARE BEING MADE INTO HIS LIKENESS IF WE ARE WILLING TO SUBMIT TO HIS LOVE AND WILL.
EACH A BEAUTIFULL JEWEL FORGED IN THE EARTH AND PLACED IN THE TEMPLE MADE WITH OUT HANDS

THE WORLD WILL SOON BE PLUNGED INTO THE DARKEST PERIOD OF MANKIND, THEY NEED REAL ANSWERS TO THE MYSTERY OF SUFFERING.

THE CHURCH IS THE LIGHT OF TRUTH = IF WE CAN'T ACCEPT THE CROSS IN OUR LIVES, THEN WHERE LIES THE HOPE FOR THE WORLD?

REMEMBER THE NEW JERUSALEM , THE CITY OF GOD DESCENDING FROM HEAVEN IS MADE UP OF SUCH LIVING STONES, AND THE GATE OF THAT CITY ( IT'S ENTRANCE) IS SOILD PEARL.

A PEARL IS SYMBOLIC OF SUFFERING-- SO LET US WITH JOY LOOK AHEAD OF SUFFERING TO THE PRIZE OF THE HIGH CALLING IN CHRIST JESUS AND WALK JOYOUSLY THROUGH THOSE GATES.

Whatever it takes ! ....

Praise the Lord ! It is wonderful to be more settled in the routine of the fall 2005! Good to be back to blogging & catch you all up on the Journey, even as it twists & turns it's way through circumstances.

His Hand remains firmly grasping mine ! The psalmist say to us, God lifts us up in His everlasting arms ! That He is a refuge, a fortress, a shield about His people ! It is wonderful to know that we can worship God through all the seasons of life, day after day, through each & all circumstances .. We can be still and truly know that He Alone is God! I hope that you are seeking the secret place of Christ, moment by moment ! For He who dwells in the secret place of the Almighty shall abide under the shadow of His Wing ! (psalm 91) That your life is "hidden with Christ" in God (Colossians 3:1)! We can be constantly mindful of His presence, direction and guidance day after day. We can know the power and presence of His Spirit, constantly encouraging and strengthening us in the path that is ever before us !

It is hard to believe the devastation & suffering that Katrina has brought in New Orleans and the areas surrounding. We as nations of this world can no longer pretend that our world is a safe place, nor can we pretend that there is not suffering & pain all around us.

Have you noticed how rapidly the world is spiralling towards fearfulness & chaos ? It seems magnified in so many of the hearts of God's people ! That is why it is so important to set our hearts before the Lord, even as a flint, and not be moved from the Hope (of Jesus Christ) that is within us !

The world is so rapidly changing, it no longer has peace, but instead peace in any fashion seems fading, ellusive; a world so full of unknowns, a future that world leaders & media would tell us is one to be feared & wrestled with, surely full of unknowns & perils that fill the airwaves - we are bombarded with terrorist & disaster plans all in the hope of being prepared for the next unknown devastation !

In the midst of the escalation of the last few months (since my last post in May) I perceive that the world will continue to be even moreso out of control, filled with multitudes who will become even more frantic & desperate, struggling & suffering in many ways, some vocal, some will suffer in silence, feeling helpless, afflicted physically, afflicted emotionally, afflicted spiritually - full of torment, fears, doubts which the world & it's means will be at an utter loss to alleviate by any means. Hopeless.

I am so glad that our God, the Lord Jesus Christ, does not change. He is a God of Hope. No matter what chaos & uncertainty surrounds, our God's Word continues to be a solid refuge & a fortress, a "Light to our Path". I believe that, do you ? Do you want His peace that does not depend upon anything but His Greatness , His Grace, His Love? When I am flooded with despair of any sort, the only comfort & solace I can reach and know is God's Word. But it truly is real. Do you believe that God is still God, that He still reigns ? That He is Peace ? To you ?

May we all allow our hearts to become even yet more fertile for His Word; fertile ground for the comfort of His Word, lodging within us, changing us into pillars of Strength ! May faith leap & grow in our hearts and may we trust in His Love & His Word! We may struggle in ways that only the Lord truly sees & understands. Sometimes it is not possible to describe a soul as it suffers in silence ! But we must get to the end of all of our own means to know a depth of comfort that only comes through Jesus Christ, The Word of God !

God continues to pursue our hearts, He truly is after our hearts ! He wants to fill us with His peace & with His love & grow our trust and confidence in Him, that He will not fail us, that He will not change ! He wants to be our Rock on which we can stand, our Hand that we can hold , we can cling to Him !

He continues to pursue mankind with a message of Hope , a message of Eternal Life, a message of life in the midst of growing adversity & despair. Through Jesus Christ, we can have a supernatural power & peace, peace that even surpasses our "understanding"; in other words we can have a peace in the midst of despair & tribulations and at a time when others will frantically think peace is utterly impossible.

Surely we are living in such a world ! A world that is soon to cry in unison, 'PEACE' 'PEACE! " Can you hear the sound of it ? I can ! Yet it is in the distance, but the voices are beignning to sound, hearts are troubled !

Remember, as Jesus said, I have told you so. That in the last days, there will be world cry for peace.

Isn't it wonderful to know His Word and to truly believe in Him ? Bring your heart to Him and let Him do what only He can do !

"Wherefore, I desire that ye faint not ... "
"I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, ... that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church of Christ Jesus, throughout all ages, world without end, amen . " Ep. 3: 13 and onward .
